Dunston Hall had just undergone a £2 million redevelopment including new bedrooms, new health club and excellent food offering from the new Executive Chef and team. Our role was to position Dunston Hall as a resort hotel and one of the four identified QHotels which are ideal for families.
Research undertaken revealed that the majority of leisure guests came from within a two hour drive time. We therefore created a PR and promotional campaign focussed on regional media within the outer catchment areas of Cambridgeshire, Essex, Suffolk and Lincolnshire. This was combined around the ’10 Reasons to Visit’ targeting families and couples.
The campaign generated over 50 pieces of coverage across influential lifestyle titles such as Cambridge Magazine, Bury & West Suffolk Magazine, Lincolnshire Life, Fine City as well as a digital homepage takeover of the Cambridge Evening News to reach an audience of over 6 million. This lead to increased enquiries resulting in the hotel exceeding leisure booking forecast for the Q1 and Q2 period.
