Press and Influencer Events for Brand Growth

Events are one of the most powerful ways to connect journalists and influencers with a brand. They create authentic relationships, put products directly into the right hands, and generate excitement around new or noteworthy launches. They’re just as valuable for hotels and spas, even without a new launch, offering a great way to create buzz and keep the brand front of mind. At Spa PR, we’ve been busy hosting a range of inspiring events over the past few months. Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to:

  1. Donnington & Co. Press Event

Earlier this month, six journalists were invited to Donnington & Co. for an exclusive preview of the hotel’s stunning new look and refreshed identity. Following an impressive rebrand and beautifully executed refurbishment, the event offered the perfect opportunity to showcase everything the hotel now has to offer.

Attendees included travel and lifestyle writers for Muddy Stilettos, Newsquest London, The Wordrobe, Marie Claire, Metro and more. They enjoyed a luxurious itinerary that included a delicious lunch at the Press restaurant, a TEMPLESPA masterclass, relaxing spa treatments, a wine-paired three-course dinner, an overnight stay, breakfast, and a rejuvenating morning yoga session.

The experience was met with glowing feedback, resulting in wonderful social media coverage and in-depth features.

  1. Urtekram’s Nordic Berry Collection Launch

Another recent event that we had the pleasure of arranging was the Urtekram Beauty Nordic Berry Hair and Body Care launch event. Hosted at the beautiful Petersham Nurseries in Richmond, this intimate breakfast event welcomed ten journalists and influencers for a truly memorable brand experience. Attendees included journalists from Ealing Living Magazine, Town & Country Magazine, La Femme London, as well as beauty and wellness influencers with a combined following of 807,788.

We were thrilled to be joined by the Urtekram team, who flew over from Sweden especially for the occasion, creating an authentic opportunity for guests to connect directly with the people behind the brand and discover the new product range firsthand. The result was a genuine sense of connection and enthusiasm for the brand, reflected in a wave of social media buzz, with press coverage set to follow soon.

  1. Riverhills Health Club & Day Spa Influencer Event

Lastly, we had the pleasure of organising an influencer day at Riverhills in Ipswich, Suffolk. Instead of promoting a new launch, this event was designed to introduce the spa to a new audience and build meaningful connections.

The spa welcomed six influencers with a combined following of 839,932, who enjoyed a full day of indulgence – including access to the spa facilities, a TEMPLESPA masterclass, a 60-minute treatment, and a delicious lunch. The experience continued into the evening with a five-course wine-paired dinner at the nearby Salthouse Harbour Hotel.

This collaboration with Salthouse Harbour Hotel beautifully showcased what the local area has to offer and served as an extra incentive for attendees. Influencer days like these, where guests can connect and share experiences, naturally encourage social posting and leave influencers with lasting, positive memories of the spa. This event generated a wonderful wave of social media coverage, significantly boosting awareness of Riverhills’ spa experiences and driving new interest in bookings.
