Spa Life 2016

This year’s Spa Life drew together over 500 of the top spa industry operators and suppliers with the aim of doing better business.  Not only is this a great way of catching up on what’s happening in the industry but it’s brilliant for networking and spending time with friends and colleagues.

We were proud to be showcasing our services and over the two busy days at Spa Life not only did we collect spa business wishes from visitors, we were also first to start the conference programme which followed an inspiring talk by Tamara Heber-Percy, founder of the incredible Mr & Mrs Smith who detailed her own business journey in business, travel and spa. Our Managing Director, Tracey Stapleton, presented a detailed presentation on ‘How Social Spas are winning the day including case studies, video media, tips and insider trends to the audience. It was fantastic to see so many people taking notes, or snapping away for their own social media channels.

On our Spa PR table included delicious snacks courtesy of our friends at OM Bar and Cliff and a special box whereby spas and suppliers were encouraged to pop in their business card with a special business wish attached. We collected lots of wishes and we are currently in the process of helping make many of those wishes come true.

For the rest of the day our Spa PR team split off to sit in on all the other workshops, taking our own notes and learning even more about the fantastic industry that we are a part of. Our evening was capped off with a delicious Gala dinner and the Good Spa Guide Awards – so wonderful to see a handful of our clients nominated as finalists!

The following morning we were pleased to reveal the results of our three month collaboration with Spa Life, monitoring the Spa Life Social Media League Tables. Our winners had been kept top secret but were awarded on the second morning of Spa Life for Best Social Media Campaign on Facebook and Twitter for suppliers and then for spas. Monitoring the social league table we found very rewarding, connecting with Spa Life sponsors and attendees well before the networking event itself. As social media platforms continue to grow and grow we are constantly reminded of its advantages for creating initial relationships with those around us in business and in our personal lives. Follow us on twitter and Instagram @spaprcompany – say hello, make a wish, share something with us. Let’s get social!
