Last week I had the pleasure of being in Germany for the international symposium of our client, Dr. Bronner’s. With a large turnout of distributors from around the world and the Dr. Bronner’s family from California, this was a chance to swap experiences and expertise as well as immerse ourselves fully into this squeaky clean brand. I don’t think there can be a better way of doing business!
Not only did I meet some amazing people but I learnt a lot about distribution and the challenges faced by other countries. We had slightly different ways of working but one thing we all had in common was a passion for Dr. Bronner’s and wanting to grow the brand bigger for a much greater reason than just making money. Once you get that, you understand why it is a cult brand and the largest natural selling soap brand in the USA.
Many other companies could learn a lot from Dr. Bronner’s: Master soap makers since 1858, third generation Emmanuel Bronner left Germany in 1929 to spread the All-one word ie work and live together as one whatever your religion.
Dr. Bronner’s has a mission and commitment to building an engine for promoting and advancing positive social change. From pioneering USDA certified organic personal care products, to creating Fair Trade projects across the world that ensure fair and just treatment of farmers and workers, to creating a socially responsible workplace in the US, the company strives to honour its heritage with progressive business practices, while devoting profits to worthwhile causes and charities worldwide.
All that and it makes the most amazing soap too!
