Animal Mindfulness

Continual innovation is important for all businesses. This helps them to progress, stay relevant to their current customers and stand out in a crowded market to attract new audiences.  At Spa PR we were therefore very excited to launch the newest innovation from Armathwaite Hall Hotel & Spa – ‘Animal Mindfulness’.  This new package draws inspiration from Dr Dolittle by encouraging guests to connect with animals for better wellbeing

Armathwaite Hall Hotel & Spa, located in the 400 acres of deer park in the Northern Lake District, is known for its ‘in-nature’ wellbeing packages. From forest bathing and wild swimming in the adjacent Bassenthwaite Lake, the luxury destination has gone a step further to launch its most natural wellness experience yet – Mindfulness with Animals.

Replicating a real-life Dr Dolittle, guests are invited to experience the Rest. Restore. Rewild. package, the first of its kind in the UK. Combining Forest Bathing, Wellness and Mindfulness with Animals, guests are encouraged to engage with the natural world around us to bring a deeper sense of connection and love for the earth and all its beings.

Known to live in the present moment, animals are free from judgement and can simply have fun! In this unique and private Mindfulness with Animals experience, taking place at the adjoining Lake District Wildlife Park, guests will be able to observe and connect mindfully with some of the world’s most endangered and beautiful animals including red pandas, lemurs, tapirs and gibbons and meet with alpacas and giant tortoises. The private tour will take place outside of the park’s hours for an intimate setting, and ensuring the care of the animals is the top priority with no touching of the animals involved.

Drawing inspiration from these beautiful creatures, guests will explore a deeper connection to themselves and each other through a series of mindfulness practices using the different senses, observing and identifying life lessons we can learn from them. Led by Lucy Dunn, the Lake District Wildlife Park’s Education and Animal Conservation Officer, guests will also learn about the conservation efforts taking place on the ground to support these animals.

As part of the Rest. Restore. Rewild. package, guests will also experience a two-hour Forest Bathing session with certified guide, Jen Grange. A natural wellbeing therapy originating from Japan, Forest Bathing has been scientifically proven to have many benefits including boosting the immune system, lowering blood pressure, reducing stress levels and elevating mood and energy levels. In this immersive session, guests will be gently guided through a flow of mindful ‘invitations’ to connect with nature around them.

The new package is part of Armathwaite Hall Hotel & Spa’s mission to become one of the UK’s leading destinations for wellness. Taking unusual yet beautifully mindful experiences to leave guests feeling renewed and with a lighter sense of being.
