Last weekend we were in Dublin at the 64th CIDESCO World Congress. Over 300 international beauty and spa professionals attended the five-day Congress and Exhibition which also celebrated the association’s 70th Anniversary since its inception in 1946.
Organised by CIDESCO Section Ireland, this year’s Congress partnered with Professional Beauty Ireland Exhibition which included an international seminar programme with prominent industry experts from around the world. The celebration included CIDESCO’s 70th spectacular gala dinner and awards ceremony.
Our managing director, Tracey Stapleton, who is also on the CIDESCO PR Committee, made a presentation to members during the PR Meeting along with CIDESCO’s Board Member for PR, Sandy Fuhr from South Africa. The presentation showcased PR and marketing activity for CIDESCO International over the past two years which has resulted in repositioning of the brand and a significant growth in awareness and engagement amongst target markets. Key tactics have included the creation of a new website and marketing collateral, global media relations and social media activity plus development of CIDESCO’s membership magazine, LINK International.
Along with 3 days of meetings and seminars, the CIDESCO World Congress was a chance to network with some of the top names in the industry from all four corners of the world. An Irish evening of dance and comedy at Dublin’s Taylors 3 Rocks and a spectacular Gala Dinner and Dance at the Doubletree by Hilton made it a Congress to remember.
