Time really does seem to fly as it was only a year ago that South Africa’s best loved salon chain, Sorbet, landed with a splash in London town. Not content with one salon, they are now about to open their third and fourth stores and that’s all within Year 1! No wonder they are up to 168 salons in South Africa. We know it won’t be long before there’s a Sorbet Salon on every UK high street which can only be a good thing as the treatments are top notch and the whole experience is bright, fun and warmly welcoming.
On that note, last night we celebrated with the Sorbet family, the salon’s first birthday at the Muswell Hill branch. Guests included local bloggers such as The Beauty Geek, Alicia Explores and Mrs Jonas Recommends, alongside editors and journalists from both consumer and trade titles including Scratch Magazine, Muswell Hill Mums and Curvaceous Mag.
Guests were treated to indulgent mini manicures, courtesy of Sorbet’s team of talented therapists, whilst a fantastic array of sushi, canapes and profiteroles kept everyone going throughout the evening – ourselves included! As the bubbles continued to flow, the evening was rounded off with a speech from CEO and founder of the Sorbet Group, Ian Fuhr, who provided a wild and wonderful insight to Sorbet’s journey from Johannesburg to the UK, alongside the exciting future he has in store for the brand.
An evening spent socialising with beauty insiders, plus Sorbet’s wonderfully friendly team, will be difficult to forget. Happy Birthday, Sorbet!
