Vinyl real stone walls, blue grass green flooring and black chiffon gray furnishings are just some of the trend leading spa design elements unveiled in Titanic Spa’s recent refurbishment programme which give it a point of difference when it comes to PR. The Yorkshire spa which was voted the UK’s Best Luxury Destination Spa for 2017 in the World Luxury Spa Awards, reveals a stylish new makeover incorporating the latest interior materials, colours and furnishings.
As part of Titanic Spa’s continual investment programme to keep the spa at the forefront of the industry and enhance the user experience, the company has worked with Oldham based Dawnvale, designers of many stylish bars in the North including Titanic Spa’s own industrial style Bar 1911.
Setting new standards in spa interiors and complementing Bar 1911, Titanic Spa has sourced state-of-the-art materials which add a sense of surprise and delight to guests while remaining practical for a spa environment. These include a real stone vinyl wall covering in the Bistro, carpet tiles which give the impression of the outdoors seeping inside and bronzed textured wall tiles and fabrics that change colour and shape as you walk by.
Other additions include a new Mud Chamber complete with walk-in showers, calm lighting and new shadow gray and black contemporary seating and coffee tables in reception which communicate a sense of refined luxury. These new developments follow an 18-month refurbishment of Titanic Spa’s 34 luxury apartments in conjunction with Emma Kay & Co in Ripponden which feature silver and copper metallic tones with sumptuous textured fabrics, wallpapers and feature lighting to create a tranquil and luxurious space.
Managing director of Titanic Spa, Warrick Burton says “Aesthetics and comfort are vital to the spa experience for our guests so it’s crucial we continually invest in this area at the same time as keeping on trend. What has been a challenge is carrying out the refurbishment without impacting the guest experience. Running at 98% occupancy and staying open from early morning until late, our interiors contractors have had a lot to do in those midnight hours! It has all been worth it though and the guest feedback has been extremely complimentary.”
The Company is now in the process of furthering its 2017 refurbishment programme which in the next few months includes an upgrade of the Relaxation Lounge and popular Bean Bag pit, newly furnished treatment rooms, new soft silver towels and waffle robes and a new high end retail area which is being developed in conjunction with Titanic Spa’s product house, Elemis.
