Welcome to Amaku, the new luxury oral care brand and Spa PR client. After the so-called “Zoom boom”, there was a 72 per cent increase in sales of oral care products* in 2020 after consumers sought out cosmetic dental treatments, because they were dissatisfied with their smiles on video calls. 2022 trends show that oral care is becoming more highly regarded within the beauty industry, and with it comes a rise in popularity of toothpaste alternatives.
Based on scientific research, Amaku tooth tablets were born out of a desire to create a ground-breaking oral care routine, harnessing nature’s finest ingredients along with the latest in science driven performance. These teeth cleaning tablets strengthen, protect and whiten teeth using an innovative hero ingredient and an alternative to fluoride which is highly regarded by dentists worldwide and recognised in Japan as ‘gold standard’, Nano-hydroxyapatite.
Absorbed by research that compared toothpaste and tooth powder’s effectiveness, the founder of Amaku is British research health scientist and environmentalist Vanessa Lawrence. In her research she was amazed to discover that tooth powder products are significantly superior in controlling dental plaque and gingivitis compared to more commonly used toothpaste formula. With a background in genetics, cancer research and environmental issues, Vanessa has created a new oral health brand with Amaku that combines the most effective natural ingredients, blurring the lines of health and oral care with luxury beauty, to deliver exceptional results.
What is Nano-hydroxyapatite?
Amaku was created to find the most effective ingredients that clean teeth, and contains natural minerals and Nano-hydroxyapatite, a bioavailable fluoride replacement and the gold standard ingredient for oral health products in Japan. It is just as effective as fluoride at cleaning strengthening and reducing tooth decay, and in some cases more efficient at strengthening enamel, and reducing sensitivity. Due to its ability to smooth the surface of teeth, Amaku tablets make the enamel shinier making teeth appear whiter. Nano-hydroxyapatite can safely be ingested along with Amaku’s core ingredient list of natural minerals. The experience is enhanced with citrus, anise and peppermint oil to create a moment of functional pleasure.
Vanessa Lawrence, founder of Amaku says “With my background in health research, I wanted to create something that was driven by science but still luxurious and enjoyable to use. Sustainability is also something I’m incredibly serious about, so creating something that encapsulated all these points was important to me. Amaku tooth tablets are effective, efficient, and enjoyable to use. This is toothpaste redefined, cleaner, purer, with no hidden nasties.”
Packaged in sustainable, travel friendly glass pots, Amaku tooth tablets look chic on a bathroom shelf and are also suitable for vegans and gluten-free.
