Put a spring into your marketing

Spring is a time of growth so it makes sense to follow suit and leap and dance into the next quarter of your business marketing with renewed energy and focus to make it your best year yet.  But after a fast paced Q1 and the Easter break it’s not always easy getting back on track.  For anyone who finds they need a little support, here’s 3 simple tactics from some of the world’s greatest leaders which will make an immediate difference to the way you think and act.


  1. Start a new habit

Tony Robbins said “If we want to direct our lives, we must take control of our consistent actions. It’s not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives, but what we do consistently.”


Don’t underestimate the importance of scheduling your most important marketing action daily.  It’s this habit which will build success.

  1. Take risks

Mark Zuckerberg once said “The biggest risk is not taking any risk.”


Don’t be afraid to do something different to your competitors.  Maybe it’s making a stand for something you believe in, making a prediction on the future of your industry or experimenting with a new medium.

3. Think Like an Artist

Marketing guru, Seth Godin encourages marketers to think beyond regular job roles (executives, managers etc) and think like an artist instead to stop “doing work” and start “making art”.  Seth says “An artist is someone who uses bravery, insight, creativity and boldness to challenge the status quo, and an artist takes it personally.”


Think like an artist:

  1. Be curious and more observant to everything and everyone around you.
  2. Make connections between disparate things and ideas.
  3. There is a strong link between play and creativity so nurture your inner child.
