We’re delighted that Helena Grzesk, Director of The Spa at The Midland has been shortlisted for ‘Spa Professional of the Year’ at the prestigious Hotel Cateys 2017. This is hot on the heels of Helena winning the accolade of ‘Best Spa Manager’ at the World Luxury Spa Awards.
Now in their 11th year, the awards are the hotel industry’s only truly independent benchmark of operational excellence. The shortlist includes individuals and teams from hotels across all corners of the UK, where they recognise and reward those that work tirelessly to make sure their business delivers an exceptional guest experience, day in, day out.
Nearly 90 judges, selected for their expertise and industry knowledge, met at London’s Dorchester hotel last week for two days of vigorous debate and discussion to select shortlists in 15 out of 18 categories from a total of 250 nominations. The winners will remain a closely guarded secret until they are announced at a dazzling event on 24 November at London’s Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel.
The Spa at The Midland, which opened two years ago, has already achieved high critical acclaim. It was named ‘Residential Spa of the Year’ at the Professional Beauty Awards 2017, awarded the top ‘5 Bubble’ rating by the Good Spa Guide and is the holder of four Spa Traveller Awards: Best New Refurbished City Spa; Best City Spa Break Manchester; Best City Spa Day Manchester and Best Hotel Spa Manchester.
